New Children’s Choir!

Building on the success of the Haddington Community Choir, which the Lamp established in 2021, the Lamp of Lothian has recently established the Yester School Choir!

The Yester School Choir is for children in P4-P7 and is led by experienced local choir master Kenny Hutchinson, who also leads our Haddington Community Choir. It is provided completely free of charge, with support from the Parent Council and parent volunteers.

We hope this will become an ongoing initiative, allowing pupils to develop singing and musical skills, confidence, teamwork and enjoyment of performing together!

Our experience with the successful Haddington Community Choir has demonstrated the wider benefits of group singing and we hope to extend this to our younger community, starting with those in the Yester Primary School area.
