What we do

The Lamp of Lothian Trust is a charity, founded in 1967 by the late Duchess of Hamilton to bring together the whole community by restoring derelict buildings and making them available for community use.

Our Community Spaces

The Lamp of Lothian Trust maintains a group of listed buildings called the Elizabeth Hamilton buildings at the south end of Haddington, which it makes available to the community at little or no cost for the widest variety of cultural, artistic and social uses. The spaces comprise of a workshop, gallery, hall, office and indoor gym accommodation.

Granary & Mault House Bridge Centre

Many groups make use of this building, from Haddington Camera Club and the Bridge Centre Music Project and Motorcycle Projects, to youth work, music, dance and yoga.

What You're Saying

Attending classes run by PACC, at the Lamp of Lothian, provides wonderful opportunities, in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Wood is a sensual material, and working with it brings you closer to nature. Often starting from scratch, students can make remarkably rapid progress.
